Morning Hot Cereal Mix

This is not a quick breakfast cereal to cook, however, it makes up for time with excellent flavor and long-lasting sustaining power!

1/2 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup Cream of Wheat cereal
1/2 cup Red River or other multigrain hot cereal mix
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup oat bran
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup mixed dried fruit: cranberries, cherries, and blueberries
1/2 cup slivered almonds

Mix all ingredients together in a large airtight container to keep for weeks.

To make breakfast, use 1/2 cup dried mixture and from 1 to 1-1/2 cups water to make 1 cup of cooked cereal. Mix and heat on medium-high until boiling. Continue cooking on low heat until mixture thickens to a porridge-like consistency.
