The Basics

Keeping your grocery budget down to a minimum is not difficult, but it does take practice and experience. People are always asking me how I do it, and because I've been working at it faithfully for 13 years, it's a challenge for me to really give them a quick and simple answer. It's just a part of my life. However, in an effort to help out friends and strangers who want to learn in this area of living, I have written a series of articles that clearly outline my entire process. For some of you, these steps might seem like "no-brainers" and you may wonder why I would even take the time to write about each one in detail. My reason for doing so is that I have discovered that there are many to whom these steps do not come naturally and they are grateful for all the detail I can give them. I have been happy to oblige.

Do not be overwhelmed by all the information I provide in these pages. Go at your own pace. Try one tip for awhile until you're comfortable, then move on to another. You don't even really have to do all of them in order, but the more of them you do, the greater your grocery savings will be.
